There are two possible types of deadlines you might see associated with your Pay By Group, depending on your role in the group: Payment and urgency deadlines.
If you are a group organizer you’ll be able to see your group’s next payment deadline in the Organizer Controls bar near the top of your dashboard, between the auto-pilot controls and the Make Purchase button.
It may say something like “a month to go” or another relatively general phrase, but if you hover (on desktop) or tap (on mobile) on the clock icon next to that phrase you’ll see the specific date and time that the next payment is due.
Both group organizers and invitees will also see automated urgency deadlines on the right-hand side of the dashboard, which are typically sooner than final deadlines. These urgency deadlines encourage invitees to join quickly so the group can be completed.
Such urgency deadlines will automatically extend themselves until the final payment deadline arrives, unless they have been set to a specific date by the merchant. Group organizers can also request that their purchase’s urgency deadline be set to a specific date by contacting Pay By Group support. Please note that any urgency deadline set by request will not auto-update itself, and will have to be manually updated again via support request if it is missed.
Please do everything you can to ensure your group completes before the deadline passes; for example, you may want to activate the auto-pilot as described in this article. While you can request a deadline extension if you miss it, we cannot guarantee that the merchant will approve your request. You can read about expired groups and deadline extensions in this article.
